If you've been following along on Substack.. hiiiii, we moved. It’s still the same writing and the same me, just a new home. You're here now and I'm really glad you are.
I want to use this first proper note from The Mindstream to tell you something I don't say enough: I've been doing this work for almost ten years (!!!!!!!!) and in that time I've sat across from people, both literally and virtually, who came to me at their lowest point and left somewhere I couldn't have even predicted when we started.
One of them I think about often:
She barely spoke when we met. It surely wasn’t because she had nothing to say (it was quite the opposite actually) but because somewhere along the way she'd decided she wasn't worth listening to, she began to hide. She stayed home all the time, stayed small, and always made sure she stayed hidden. She told me she felt ugly, used words like unworthy to describe herself.. it was like she was losing herself and couldn't find the thread back.
I gotta say, I was really proud of my tools because we didn't dig into everything that hurt, we actually worked forward. I asked: what do you want to feel like? What does the version of you that isn't afraid look like? I followed that up with: let's make it easy to become her and let's make it fun to live in.
We built rituals but made sure that we kept them small so that they stuck. We learned breathwork, how to identify what exactly was happening in her body, and how to respond to it all. We created an archetype she could step into on the days she didn't feel like herself yet. It was like she found the mermaid within her. She kept it small to start but she started wearing the lipstick, she started to make new friends from explorative outings we created, and six months later she graduated from a program she was invested in with flying colors. I was literally watching her live the life she was dreaming up when we started. It was so heartwarming and just special.
I could never find the words for how I feel when I see it click for someone and they make that decision to fully show up as them and as unapologetically as they could, but it’s a feeling I absolutely love.
That's what I do. Not coaching in the traditional sense cause I don't have (nor do) a twelve-step framework or a workbook with blanks to fill in. I work with what you bring, I follow the thread, and I help you make it easier to be who you already are.
I'm opening five spots for monthly 1:1 sessions this spring.
We meet weekly. We work on whatever is alive for you like your blocks, your goals, your next chapter, your nervous system, your rituals, your reality. I bring everything I have: coaching, breathwork, meditation, somatic cues, intuition and you bring yourself, wherever you are.
It's $800/month. And if something in you just said that's me then it probably is.
Just write me and tell me where you are right now and we'll go from there.
