I started wondering how many people would enjoy their own work if their name wasn’t attached to it. I wondered how many would have visceral reactions to seeing their work out in the world if others weren’t toting it up or praising it. I wondered about whether they would find the nuances they hope others to find. I got curious about how people evaluate their work to deem it “good enough” to share and how much of that relies on their own taste vs what will be received well.

Do we do our work for us or is it for the audience?

There is no right or wrong, there are only experiences. But if your name wasn’t on your work.. how would you experience it? Would you respect it? Would you share it? Would you critique it? Would you save it for a later day? Would you just have to have it?

And what happens if you don’t?

Just wondering.
