The end of August and end of Summer feel synonymous to me. A part of me yearns for more summer and the other is ready for all of Fall’s beauty to envelope me. I look forward to the fashion, the schedule shifts, the rituals that align with the season and so on. It feels like a wonderful time to create a new self-concept or just get more aligned with a current one. Here’s what I do to get back into myself (or come home to myself) as September approaches:

  • Creating a thorough desired self manual including habits, rituals, desires, and so on.

  • Daily meditation, walks, and reading time that doesn’t feel too extensive yet nourishing

  • Look for new recipes that are exciting and align with the diet I want to embrace for the season - this season it’s Mediterranean

  • Create a new movement routine or check out new movement classes that feel good (and like passive workouts lol)

  • Connect with people I admire and want to spend time with / create plans for the month ahead

  • Find my baby step markers of success to keep myself celebrating and motivated to continue the work

These have always been helpful to me on any journey I’ve taken on or any self-rebuild. It keeps my journey filled with baby steps I can be proud of and it keeps me motivated to continue working on myself while still enjoying life. I hope this is helpful <3
