There’s a desired self in all of us. I call it the version of us that we keep working toward, the version of us that we really aim to embody each day. For some it’s rooted in the successes or progress that comes with it, for others it’s rooted in the feelings they hope to experience each day. Regardless of what it is that fuels the fire of your desired self there is a way to get closer to it and begin the embodiment.
Below is a brief a guide that’s continuously helped me place my desired self and find the space in which we align and combine our energies to become. As you engage, it’s important to remember that the desired self does not have the limitations of your current self - not in mind, body, or external worlds. As you visualize and begin to embody, aim to release your current limitations and enter a space in which you are truly limitless. This will help a smoother flow into the embodiment process as it’ll be more trust-led.
Visualize your desired self, their habits, their experienced emotions, and their desires.
Key into the feelings and essence of your desired self. feel what they emit out, their auric field, and who they are out in the world.
Take note of the thoughts, feelings, and experiences that your desired self encounters. Don’t be afraid to include how they handle their not-so-wonderful moments.
Encapsulate your desired self into three words that will serve as a reminder that they exist and are always searching for your current self in the fog. These will serve as a reminder for you during times in which your current self feels far from the desired self.
Think about your current self and the thoughts and experiences you do not want to go through / think of. This will help you build awareness of when those thoughts and feelings arise. Be sure to think back to / rely on the encapsulated words of your desired self to guide you through the moments your current self may be struggling with
Give room, grace, and a judgement free zone for your current self. Your current self can only grow if it feels safe enough to do so as well with deepened trust in the desired self guiding it.
Embody your desired self a bit each day - in how you speak, how you walk, how you engage with others. Use your encapsulated words as your reminder and your guide.
Continue to grow the embodiment by celebrating the successes each day. Shift any expectations that may feel necessary to be able to properly celebrate the wins of your daily embodiment.
Your desired self is the version of you that you feel within, the version with the potential you aim to access. Accessing it can happen in baby steps and be validated through celebratory affirmations of your efforts. Love on yourself through every effort as it’ll build trust in the journey, the desired self, and the current self.
