There are certain kinds of rooms where things start happening.

You see someone take a step they’ve been postponing and it changes what feels possible for you. Maybe, you hear someone name what they’re working toward and it sharpens your own thinking. You tend to stay longer with your goals because other people are staying with theirs and movement becomes something shared instead of something you have to generate alone.

There’s real science behind this. Seeing someone else move toward something real changes what your brain registers as possible, which is one of the reasons people make progress more consistently in rooms where others are doing the same. We regulate through one another. We learn through observation. We follow through more consistently when we are in environments where follow-through is visible and normal. Being around people who are building something in their lives changes what we expect from ourselves.

I’ve always wanted a space like that in my life: a cozy space you can return to each week while you are working toward something that matters to you. A place where goals are not abstract ideas but things you stay connected to in real time. A place where you get to see other people choosing their lives while you are choosing yours.

So I made one. It’s called The Lab.

We begin on April 20th. The space moves in ninety-day cycles: each cycle is a container where you choose something you are ready to move forward and stay with it long enough to see what happens when your attention stays there. Sometimes that’s a project, sometimes it’s a shift in direction, other times it’s a decision you’ve already been carrying for a while and are ready to act on.

Every ninety days, you are inside a goal, moving through one, or watching something you committed to begin unfolding. We meet weekly and use that time to work directly with what you are building in your life while it is happening. The room fills with people who are choosing something real and staying with it together.

This is the kind of space I kept looking for and if you’ve been wanting one too, the cohort begins April 20. Learn more and RSVP for your seat!

If you know someone who could use this space please forward them this stubstack! If you’d like to gift someone a membership, please reach out via email.
